Welcome to St. Frances of Rome Elementary School, where we have been serving students and their families since 1952. Lancer pride runs deep in our Azusa community since we have been preparing young men and women to lead and serve in the Church, community, and America for over 69 years. St. Frances of Rome Elementary School’s mission statement is the foundation of how we teach our students to excel both spiritually and academically. In the tradition of the Roman Catholic Faith, and in partnership with our parents, we work with students to become the image and likeness of God. It is in His image that our students understand God’s will for them and work every day to become faithful to the Church’s teaching and their learning. Our school is a pre-kindergarten through eighth grade co-educational institution that offers a rigorous high school preparatory curriculum. SFR has dedicated and passionate teachers and staff. Our staff includes qualified teachers with Religion level 1 certifications. We are blessed to have many teachers with a long tenure at St. Frances School. We also offer a variety of extracurricular activities including sports, student council, Christian Service Club, Azusa Pacific University partnership, and music/choir. Our school service programs are deeply rooted in Catholic values. We facilitate consistent and progressive learning, developing students as innovative and energetic learners, and helping them gain 21st century skills. Most importantly our school offers a very warm, intimate and family-like environment. When you enroll at St. Frances, you become part of our Lancer family where we value family, faith, and excellence. We are saving a seat for you! To our current and prospective parents, students and families, Welcome to the St. Frances of Rome Elementary School family! As a previous teacher at SFR, I am honored and excited to return to St. Frances of Rome School as your principal for the 2024-2025 school year. As your principal, it is my mission to motivate, encourage, and drive each and every member of our school staff into places of continual excellence as students, educators, parent-partners, Church-based partners, and life-long learners.
Blessings,
Mrs. Doreen Zuno M.A.,Ed.
