A Catholic education teaches more than strong academics; it teaches lessons for life. The well-rounded curriculum leads children to become faith-filled, productive and generous adults.
Our little campus is a second home to all our school families. Children spend their after-school hours in sports, scouts, or club events. The students and parents meet weekly to pray our school-wide Rosary for our families. Moms and Dads supervise lunches, help in the classrooms, and direct traffic every morning and afternoon. Check out the extracurricular activities and other important information going on on our campus.
Here at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Elementary, there exists a vibrant faith. Every morning, the SFR student council leads our student body in prayer. Our staff also gathers to pray for our students and their families every Wednesday morning. We center the whole school day on God and feeling His presence. Every classroom has Mary’s statue as well as, of course, a crucifix, and additionally, a holy water font so that children may make the sign of the cross. It is our goal, starting in Transitional Kindergarten, to lead them to a deep relationship with Jesus. We teach, from that grade, the Our Father, Hail Mary, and the traditional Catholic prayers. Children learn how much God loves them and is watching over them.
We also emphasize prayer in many special events and celebrations, such as Rosaries and saints’ days, as well as Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter. Our children learn how to serve God and they meet Him in the sacraments. Our fundamental goal is that they go out and share Jesus, and also express the love of God by their service toward others. Opportunities such as fundraising projects directly benefit the poor, and older grades, for example, will visit convalescent hospitals.
Student Council at St. Frances of Rome School consists of dedicated eight graders who help run our school and assist with many student activities. The training of students in leadership is one of the priorities at St. Frances of Rome School.

St. Frances of Rome provides sports for our junior high students. Participating in an extracurricular activity such as a sport is a great way for students to not only stay active, but they will also gain numerous skills such as leadership and teamwork. We currently have girls varsity volleyball and boys varsity flag football for the fall sports and girls and boys varsity basketball for the winter sports. We are also open to the idea of having new sports for these seasons and for the spring!
Service Hours Opportunity!
Coaching a sport is a great way to be able to complete your service hours! If there are a lot of students that would like to participate in a sport, there is the opportunity to create a JV team, which will be for fifth and sixth graders to help them develop their skills for varsity. In order to coach a sport, you must be virtused, fingerprinted, and complete the CYO coaching class to obtain your coaching card which is good for up to three years! If you are interested in coaching a sport, please contact the front office.
